Large Rugs

Large rugs, from 220 to 279 cm wide, are the ones that pull a living room together, sitting under the sofa and chairs so the whole space reads as one.

Afghan Chobi rugs lead this range, hand-knotted from lanolin-rich, hand-spun wool into a low, smooth pile, with Balkh rugs offering the finest Chobi knotting. Transitional Oushak rugs, all woven in Afghanistan, bring large-scale florals in muted colour, and our own Kohi designs have an especially soft pile. Maimana and Faryab kilims are here too, along with Yekta rugs and vintage Persian Kerman and Tabriz rugs.

This width covers most living rooms, from around 300 × 230 cm for a three-seater lounge to 350 × 250 cm for larger spaces. Under a dining table, allow the rug to extend about 60 cm past the table on each side. Florals and soft blues and creams are the most common looks here.
