Made for rooms where the whole furniture group should sit on the rug rather than float around it, these pieces all measure close to 350 × 270 cm.

Vintage Persian Kerman rugs are the heart of this size, with floral fields, palmettes and medallions knotted by professional city weavers and gently softened by years of use. Vintage Tabriz, Kashan, Moud and Bidjar rugs join them, along with Turkmen Ersari and Bokhara weavings. On the newly woven side, there are Afghan Chobi, Yekta and Balkh rugs, our own Kohi designs, Transitional Oushak rugs and large Maimana and Faryab kilims.

This is a generous size for a larger living room or a dining table that seats six to eight, allowing roughly 60 cm of rug beyond the table on each side. Many of our family's favourite pieces sit in this range, and handmade sizes vary a little, so check each listing's measurements.
