Please note that customs duties, import taxes, or local fees (if applicable) are the responsibility of the recipient.

All deliveries require a signature on arrival to ensure your rug arrives safely.

If you’d prefer to give authority to leave without a signature, please include this note at checkout. Once this option is selected, Najaf Rugs cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft, or damage after delivery.

Rugs on Pre-Order

Some rugs in our Arriving Soon collection are available on a pre-order basis and may ship directly from our overseas warehouse.

For these items, please allow a minimum of 2 weeks for delivery. We will keep you updated at each stage and provide tracking details as soon as your order has been dispatched.

How Your Rug Travels to You

All our rugs are delivered folded rather than rolled. This often surprises customers, as machine-made rugs are usually rolled, but there’s a reason for that.

Because our rugs are handmade from 100% natural fibres such as wool and cotton, they can be folded safely without damage. This makes them far more practical to transport, as a folded rug takes up much less space than a rolled one. In contrast, machine-made rugs are woven from synthetic materials with a glued backing that can crack or break if bent, one of many reasons handmade rugs are superior.

When your rug arrives, you may notice some fold lines. These are completely normal and will disappear naturally over time once the rug is laid flat, walked on, and used in your space.

Every rug we ship has already travelled far to reach us. We take as much care in sending it to you as the artisans did in weaving it, so it arrives ready to start its next chapter in your home.
