Persian Hamadan Rugs

Hamadan is the ancient city of Ecbatana, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, and the centre of a weaving region covering more than a thousand villages. Kurdish, Luri, and Persian weavers each bring distinct pattern traditions to the Hamadan style, which is why no two pieces ever look alike. Single-wefted construction makes Hamadan rugs more flexible and resilient than many finer Persian rugs, and particularly well suited to high-traffic rooms. Our collection spans vintage and antique pieces from across the region.
