Persian Qashqai Rugs
The Qashqai are a Turkic-speaking group of nomadic tribes who migrate seasonally between the mountains and plains of Iran's Fars province. Their pile rugs are made in camp using hand-spun wool from their own sheep, which graze on mountain pasture and produce a fibre with exceptional durability. Natural madder, indigo, and pomegranate dyes give Qashqai rugs, their characteristic depth of colour. Our collection includes vintage and antique pieces handpicked directly from Iran.
