About Vintage

Our vintage rugs have already spent years underfoot, and that use has softened the pile, mellowed the colour and given each one an easy, lived-in warmth.

Persian rugs make up much of the collection: tribal Shiraz and Qashqai rugs knotted from hand-spun wool in the Fars Province, ornate city rugs from Kerman, Tabriz and Kashan, and village pieces from Hamadan, Bakhtiari and Malayer. Long runners from Ardabil, Meshkin and Hamadan are a particular strength. Beyond Iran there are Turkish Anatolian and Kayseri rugs, Princess Bokhara and Afghan Turkmen pieces, vintage Afghan Baluch rugs and Caucasian Kazaks.

A vintage rug has already proven it can handle daily life, which makes it a confident choice for a hallway, living room or dining room. Faded reds and soft pinks sit beautifully with modern furniture, and some gentle wear is part of the appeal.

Good to Know

Can I see a rug in person before I buy?

Yes. We're at our Rowville warehouse most days and you're welcome to come in and browse. Let us know which pieces you'd like to see and we'll have them ready. Plan a visit.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery is free Australia-wide. Rugs are dispatched within 1 to 3 business days. NSW and VIC usually arrive in 1 to 2 business days, the ACT in 2 to 3, QLD and TAS in 2 to 4, and WA and the NT in 3 to 6. Shipping details.

What if the rug isn't right in my room?

Full-price rugs can be returned or exchanged within 7 days of arriving. Returns & exchanges.

Will the rug look the same in real life?

We photograph every rug in natural light with minimal editing. If you'd like extra photos or a video of a piece, just ask.

How do I choose the right size?

Our Rug Size Guide shows the right size for every room, from entryways to open-plan living.
