About Medium Rugs

Between a bedside rug and a room-sized one, medium rugs from 170 to 219 cm wide move easily between lounge, bedroom and study as your home changes.

Maimana and Faryab kilims make up a large share, flat and reversible with stepped geometric patterns, along with brighter spring kilims and pieces fresh off the loom. Afghan Chobi rugs and our own Transitional Kohi rugs offer soft, hand-spun pile, and there are Afghan Pashm, Balkh and Yekta rugs as well as vintage Persian Kerman, Tabriz, Bakhtiari and Shiraz rugs.

A medium rug suits a smaller lounge, the space under a coffee table or a bedroom. Sizes around 240 × 170 cm work well in apartments and studies, while 270 × 200 cm gives a little more room around a sofa. If you're between two sizes, the larger one usually makes a room feel more settled.

Can I see a rug in person before I buy?

Yes. We're at our Rowville warehouse most days and you're welcome to come in and browse. Let us know which pieces you'd like to see and we'll have them ready. Plan a visit.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery is free Australia-wide. Rugs are dispatched within 1 to 3 business days. NSW and VIC usually arrive in 1 to 2 business days, the ACT in 2 to 3, QLD and TAS in 2 to 4, and WA and the NT in 3 to 6. Shipping details.

What if the rug isn't right in my room?

Full-price rugs can be returned or exchanged within 7 days of arriving. Returns & exchanges.

Will the rug look the same in real life?

We photograph every rug in natural light with minimal editing. If you'd like extra photos or a video of a piece, just ask.
