Around 250 × 180 cm is a handy in-between size, big enough to sit under a coffee table and two armchairs yet modest enough for a smaller lounge or bedroom.

Afghan Maimana and Faryab kilims lead the collection, alongside hand-knotted Chobi, Yekta, Balkh and Pashm rugs and our own Kohi designs. Vintage Persian Shiraz rugs are well represented, tribal weavings in hand-spun wool on a wool foundation, together with Qashqai rugs and kilims from the same Fars region. You'll also find vintage Bakhtiari, Hamadan, Kerman, Ardabil and Koliai rugs.

Placed crosswise under a queen bed, a rug this size leaves a soft strip of wool on either side for your feet in the morning.
